My natural vision would have to be portraits. I enjoy being able to photograph certain expressions on people that give the viewer that same emotion from looking at it. Im very persistent when it comes to shooting portraits, if it doesn't come out the way I specifically want it to I will re shoot as many times as I can till I get the finished product I want. Its a weird feeling I get in my chest when I take a picture of something and I know it will be amazing. I dont always get that feeling so thats when I know I havent reached my full potential. I was on the max a year ago and there was this little boy infront of me who I thought was very adorable and had the cutest little nose and I really wanted to photograph him and I saw the opportunity to do so when he was starring out the window. As soon as I pressed the capture button I felt that icy cold rush that meant to me "Annie this photo will turn out amazing!!" which it did, its one of my favorite pictures that I have taken. A big influence that has pushed me the way into portraits is Annie Leibovitz. After watching a film on her and seeing her work with pregnant Demi Moore I was deeply inspired to try and recreate that image. Thankfully my best friend had just gotten pregnant around that time so I quickly asked her if I could shoot her and she agreed, now take in mind I was in a high school beginning black and white class so that much nudity was not going to be posible, so of course I had to do some changes. Time flew by when I was shooting my friend and we both had a blast doing it. I didn't like how they came out at first so I had to re shoot and then I was really content with my work. I have done portraits on my doggie, mother, boyfriends, and family members and I can honestly say its my favorite thing to do.
